Color
Grey-green to yellowish-green, same color on both sides

Apothecia: very rare, lateral with a whitish disc
Soralia: numerous, marginal, elliptical in shape and mealy in appearance (2)

Evernia prunastri has a distinctly paler underside than the upper side and the soralia are not limited to the edges of the straps
