Thallus
Foliose, up to 8 cm, sometimes confluent with other thalli, lobes 3 mm wide, short, overlapping, covered with a white pruinose, especially at the tips

Brownish gray when dry, green when wet

Apothecia: very rare, with sorediate and pruinose margin
Soralia: coarsely grainy, initially localized on the lobe margin, then gradually covering the center of the thallus
